Job summary

Dewis Centre for Independent Living in Wales is seeking a part-time Personal Assistant to support a 13-year-old boy with learning difficulties to access the community and take part in a variety of activities on weekends.

The role is 3 hours per week, paid at £14 per hour plus 40p per mile, with a monthly wage and holiday pay. A National Insurance number and DBS check are required, with a trial period before employment begins.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties preferred.
• Willing to work weekends and part-time hours.
• Must have or be willing to apply for a National Insurance number.

Responsibilities

• Take the person to community activities on weekends.
• Ensure safety during activities.
• Organise and suggest new activities.
• Coordinate with family and DBS checks as required.
