Job summary

18 Week Support is looking for an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join various NHS Trusts across England for weekend sessions. This exciting opportunity allows you to support Urology and General Surgery services, offering competitive pay and flexible work arrangements.

The successful candidate will assist experienced theatre teams in providing high-quality perioperative care. You must be a registered ODP with HCPC registration and have NHS experience.

Qualifications

• Registered ODP with HCPC registration.
• Current experience working as an ODP for a minimum of 6 months within the last 12 months.
• Proven NHS experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of safe, high-quality perioperative care.
• Prepare and maintain theatre environments.
• Support anaesthetists during induction, maintenance, and recovery phases.
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative pathway.
• Collaborate with theatre, anaesthetic, and recovery teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
