Job summary

Meallmore is seeking a Weekend Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen team in Leven. You will help with washing crockery, keeping areas clean, and assisting chefs with basic prep while maintaining high hygiene standards.

This role offers weekend hours (Saturday and Sunday), 16 hours per week, with training provided. Overtime options and staff benefits are available as part of our welcoming team in a prominent care home setting.

Weekend Kitchen Assistant

Salary: £12.76 per hour

Hours: 16 hours per week: Saturday & Sunday, 9.30 am – 6 pm

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen team. A good kitchen is a clean kitchen, and as a kitchen assistant you’ll be tasked with ensuring the hygiene and cleanliness are the best they can be whilst supporting chefs with basic tasks.

Role & Responsibilities

• Washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
• Keeping kitchen areas clean and organised
• Assisting with basic food preparation when required under the supervision of the chefs
• Unloading deliveries and storing food items properly
• Assist in the day-to-day operations of kitchen duties
• Ensuring hygiene and safety standards are maintained
