Job summary

Retain Healthcare is recruiting Weekend Community Healthcare Assistants to support clients at home across Salisbury and surrounding areas. You’ll provide personal care, meal prep and companionship, with training and ongoing support offered.

A DBS check and the right to work in the UK are required, with flexible weekend shifts available. We offer training and opportunities for career progression, guaranteed hours subject to availability, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and reliable care mindset.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients in their own homes.
• Assist with daily activities, meals and medication support.
• Encourage independence and monitor changing needs.
• Maintain accurate care records and report changes to the supervising nurse.

What You’ll Be Doing

We offer a flexible approach to shifts, including:

• As a Community Healthcare Assistant, you’ll support people in their own homes—helping them stay safe, independent and connected.
• Personal care (washing, dressing, continence support)
• Meal preparation and medication support
• Encouraging independence through an outcome-focused approach
• Companionship – making someone’s day brighter
• Light household tasks
• Working alongside families, Social Workers, Nurses and other professionals
• Reporting changes and maintaining care records
