Job summary

My Ohana is hiring a Crèche Practitioner for the Exeter IKEA Store. The role is part-time, 10 hours per week on weekends, with duties focused on engaging children aged 3 to 11 through educational play and assisting in activity planning.

The successful candidate will work within the IKEA Exeter location, supporting the manager and team, and may step up into supervisory responsibilities as needed. A Level 3 childcare qualification is required.

Qualifications

• Engage children in entertaining and educational play.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, clients and parents.
• Work well within a team and be ready to step into supervisory duties when required.
• Contribute to planning creative activities.
• Hold a minimum Level 3 childcare qualification (or Play worker Level 3 pre-2014).

Responsibilities

• Engaging children in entertaining and educational play through activities.
• Assist in planning and delivering a programme of activities.
• Communicate with colleagues, clients and parents professionally.
• Support entry and exit of children.
• Potential to step up as a Key Worker when required.
