Job summary

Dunster House Ltd in Dudley is seeking a Casual Zero-Hours Weekend Drivers Mate to support our delivery fleet. Based at the Dudley branch, you will assist with loading and unloading, help navigate and ensure smooth, on-time customer deliveries, all while upholding health and safety rules and presenting the company in a professional manner.

Shifts are ad-hoc, mainly weekends with possible weekday coverage. Starting around 07:30 with finish times varying by business needs.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Experience with delivery driving or driver’s mate duties.
• Driving and navigation ability.
• Manual handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Helping the driver to safely secure the load onto the vehicle.
• Assisting the driver with deliveries, as per the driver’s requests and aiding with navigation.
• Complying with health and safety rules and regulations.
• Keeping your vehicle clean.
• Unloading the goods to customers with assistance of the driver.
• Represent Dunster House to a superb standard, as an ambassador of the company.

The Role:

This job is based out of our Dudley Branch - DY5 1QA and the ideal candidate may be offered shifts supporting the driver with deliveries by assisting with loading, unloading, navigation, and ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery service.

What We Offer:

• Shifts are offered on an ad-hoc basis, primarily at weekends
• For flexibility, there may be an option for some shifts to cover weekday working as required by the business
• 07.30 start time, with varied finish times based on business need
• £12.71 per hour for hours worked
• There may be opportunities to apply for fixed-term or permanent employed roles in the future, subject to business needs
