Job summary

Bramley Health is recruiting a Weekend Cook for our refurbished 48-bed nursing care home in Rickmansworth, Maple Grove, opening March 2027. You will prepare meals respecting dietary and cultural needs and support residents' wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing meals in care, hospital, or commercial settings.
• Knowledge of HACCP and current food regulations.
• Food hygiene level 2 certification.
• Ability to reflect residents' dietary preferences and choices.

Responsibilities

• Preparing nutritious meals for service users in line with guidelines/ requirements
• Daily cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment
• Maintain inventory of kitchen equipment and produce
• Utilise knowledge of HACCP and current food regulations

We are currently recruiting for Weekend Cook to join our newly refurbished, 48-bed nursing care home in Rickmansworth, Maple Grove scheduled to open in March 2027.

About the role

Nutrition is an important part of providing the perfect care to our service users, and the Weekend Cook does just this! You will have all dietary requirements/ cultural requirements, and a genuine interest in the wellbeing of our service users, to serve up meals following guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Preparing nutritious meals for service users in line with guidelines/ requirements
• Daily cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment
• Maintain inventory of kitchen equipment and produce
• Utilise knowledge of HACCP and current food regulations
• Interaction with service users to reflect their food choices
• Food hygiene level 2 certification
• Previous experience of food preparation in a commercial/ domestic/ hospital or care setting
• Warm, approachable personality to engage with service users and vulnerable adults with ease
