Job summary

Bournemouth Churches Housing Association (BCHA) is seeking compassionate individuals to join the weekend team at George House, Plymouth, supporting customers experiencing homelessness. You will help maintain a safe environment, respond to incidents, and work with management on safeguarding and wellbeing concerns.

You will also deliver group support sessions and weekend activities that promote engagement, stability, and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in homelessness services, housing, or care/support environments.
• Resilient, calm under pressure, and confident in managing challenging situations.
• Passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals and improving lives.
• Enjoy dynamic, hands-on work with new challenges and rewards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for customers.
• Respond to incidents and manage anti-social behaviour.
• Escalate safeguarding and wellbeing concerns with management.
• Deliver group support sessions and weekend activities.
• Respond to urgent first aid situations and support rough sleepers into accommodation.
• Prepare and share meals to build trust and connection.
