Job summary

Bluebird Care Isle of Wight is seeking a Weekend Carer to support customers in their own homes, delivering high-quality personal care, meals, medication reminders and daily living tasks. You will work as part of the Care Expert Team, offering flexibility with weekend shifts and opportunities for career development.

We provide expert training, paid induction, mileage reimbursement, a pension, and ongoing Bluebird Academy learning.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Compassionate attitude with calm approach to care.
• Excellent communication and ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As a Weekend Carer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for

Competitive rates of £14.25 per hour.

Requirements

• *A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle*
• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
• Full Right to Workin the UK (unfortunately, we cannot provide sponsorship or VISA transfer)
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Ability to follow care plans
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided
