Home Instead Basildon is seeking a Weekend Care Professional to join our friendly team. This role focuses on companionship, personal support and helping clients maintain independence at home, with a real focus on kindness and respect.

We offer a weekend-focused position with clear expectations for Saturday and Sunday availability, a supportive office team, and training and development opportunities to grow with us.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation to clients in their homes.
• Assist with personal care, meal preparation and light household tasks.
• Support medication administration in line with training and care plans.
• Help clients maintain independence and daily routines.
• Accompany clients to appointments, shopping or activities.
• Offer reassurance and emotional support as part of the care plan.
• Communicate changes or concerns to the office promptly.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and families.
• Maintain professional boundaries and integrity during visits.

Job Description

We are looking for a Weekend Care Professional to join our Home Instead Basildon team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for regular weekend work who enjoys helping others and wants to make a real difference to people’s lives.

Clear and reliable weekend availability is essential.

As a Weekend Care Professional, you could support clients with:

• Companionship and conversation
• Personal care
• Meal preparation
• Light household duties
• Medication support, in line with training and care plans
• Supporting clients with their daily routines
• Helping clients maintain their independence
• Accompanying clients to appointments, shopping or social activities
• Providing reassurance and emotional support
• Letting the office know about any changes or concerns

A cup of tea and a chat, helping someone prepare their breakfast, accompanying them on a walk or simply being there when they need someone, these moments can make a huge difference.

A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle is desirable due to the community-based nature of the role.
