Overview

Immediate Start for Weekend Hours for an experienced Care Assistant in Ripley, Derbyshire. Are you a compassionate and experienced Care Worker looking to make a real difference? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a warm and welcoming 28-bed residential care home in the heart of Ripley.

About the Role: You’ll be part of a dedicated team providing 24-hour personalised care in a beautifully maintained home. Your focus will be on supporting residents to live independently, with dignity and joy.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering high-quality personal care, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
  • Following and updating individualised care plans
  • Promoting residents’ emotional and psychological wellbeing
  • Encouraging independence and meaningful daily engagement
Training and DBS

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, this can be arranged. Online training is available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep.

Requirements
  • Have referenceable work history
  • Hold in-date mandatory training certificates (moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection control)
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service
  • Have a minimum of 3 months paid UK work experience working within a care setting

Hours and Benefits

This is an ongoing position with weekend work. Typical hours are:

  • 06:45 to 14:30
  • 14:15 to 22:00
  • 22:00 to 07:00

The rate of pay will be £12.35 or £12.85 per hour, depending on hours worked.
