Rise and shine with Sodexo in Newport as our Weekend Breakfast Chef, where your passion for cooking and love of breakfast classics can truly shine. We're looking for an early riser with energy, creativity, and a flair for great food to join our morning kitchen team. In this role, you'll be preparing and serving fresh, high-quality breakfasts that set the tone for the day, keeping our on-site colleagues fuelled, motivated, and smiling. If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, take pride in presentation, and enjoy creating dishes that brighten someone's morning, this is the perfect weekend opportunity for you.

  • 12 hours per week
  • Saturday and Sunday
  • 6:30am till 12:30pm
  • £13.00 per hour
  • Free on-site parking
Responsibilities
  • Start the day right - Craft delicious, high-quality breakfasts that leave a lasting impression, driven by your passion for perfection.

Qualifications
  • Passionate & Driven - Brings genuine enthusiasm for the industry with hands-on experience in fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environments. Formal qualifications are not essential - a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow is key.
  • Skilled & Organised - Confident using IT and Microsoft Office, with strong communication, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Culinary Expertise - In-depth understanding of food production techniques, allergen management, and food safety standards, with a commitment to consistency and quality.
  • Leadership & Collaboration - Proven ability to lead, inspire, and support team members while managing your own performance to a high standard.
  • Resilient & Detail-Focused - Performs well under pressure, upholds high standards, welcomes feedback, and is always looking for ways to improve.
