Weekend Assistant Chef - Laverstock Care Centre, Salisbury - £11.44 per hour

  • 80 Bedded Nursing, Dementia and Residential Care Home
  • Part time; 16hrs per week
  • Saturday and Sunday shifts only

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for our residents.
  • Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Support and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Create and update menus that align with residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special events and dietary accommodations.
  • Coordinate and communicate with residents and relatives to ensure satisfaction and needs are met.

Ideal candidate

  • Level 2 or above in Food Safety.
  • Allergen and Intolerance Awareness Certificate desired but not essential.
