Webapp developer

We are seeking a Backend Webapp Developer to join our Neftex Technical Services Team based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. You will report to the Team Lead and work within our Technical Solutions Team, focusing on defining, designing, developing, and supporting subsurface evaluation solutions for the energy sector.

Minimum Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Python software development.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Self-starter with a willingness to learn new technologies and the ability to learn quickly.
• Undergraduate degree in Software Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with AWS Cloud infrastructure and SaaS development.
• Proficiency with tools and processes for designing, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting engineering applications.
• Experience developing test strategies for automated regression testing.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and security issue triaging.
• Skills in C#, JavaScript, Angular, React.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and GitLab.
• Understanding of software vulnerabilities and mitigation practices.
• Experience with pipeline automation, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux.
• Full-stack development experience is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within an Agile team, participating in ceremonies, estimation, and backlog refinement.
• Implement new features, services, and bug fixes based on prioritization.
• Maintain high quality standards and conduct self-testing before QA.
• Stay updated on relevant emerging technologies.
• Communicate issues clearly and escalate when necessary.
