Job summary

Belfast City Council is seeking a Senior Online Accessibility and Compliance Officer. You will manage, develop and design content on websites as part of a web editing team, and ensure online standards and accessibility compliance.

You will liaise with internal departments to improve digital communications, work with IT staff to deliver quality internet services and new technologies, and promote equality of opportunity with GIS for disabled applicants.

• managing, developing and designing content on websites as part of a web editing team
• writing and editing content for our websites and digital channels, manipulating graphics and repurposing multimedia content
• making sure that standards are maintained in relation to online content including compliance with legislation and guidelines
• liaising with internal departments, advising them on the most effective and efficient way to communicate clearly and effectively through digital channels including web and social networking
• working closely with staff in our IT section to deliver quality internet services and new technologies

This is a full-time, fixed term contract post until 14 September 2027, subject to review.
