Web Digital Producer – London/Hybrid – £34.48 per hour (Umbrella)

A London Local Authority is recruiting for an interim Web Digital Producer to join its Digital and Web Services team. This is a hybrid role offering flexible working arrangements.

Role Overview:

The Web Digital Producer will lead on the end-to-end user journey of digital services – whether creating a new webpage, updating a website, or improving a transactional service – to ensure content is presented in the right place, at the right time, and in the most effective format for users.
This role will be crucial in ensuring that digital products meet the needs of users while aligning with organisational goals, accessibility standards, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the planning, development, and delivery of digital content and services.
- Translate user needs and feedback into clear, actionable content changes or digital service improvements.
- Collaborate with service designers, content designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless user journeys.
- Identify and implement improvements to the information architecture and content layout.
- Ensure digital services comply with accessibility standards and usability best practices.
- Support agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

Experience and Skills Required:

- Essential:

- Expert in methods for eliciting context of use, user needs, and generating user requirements.
- Familiarity with tools for representing system and user requirements.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, accessibility, and user-centred design.
- Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams.

- Desirable:

- Previous experience in local government or similar complex public sector organisations.
- Experience working on public-facing services with a high standard of accessibility and compliance.
