Job summary

University Of Hertfordshire is seeking a Web Developer to support the technical development of our external website. You will work as part of Marketing and Communications (Digital and Creative Experience) to deliver a sector-leading digital experience.

The role requires designing and evolving DXPs or large CMS environments, with front-end skills in HTML/XHTML, JSON, CSS and JavaScript, plus a strong grasp of performance and security practices for high-traffic sites.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and evolving enterprise DXPs or large CMS environments.
• Hands-on experience with HTML/XHTML, JSON, CSS and JavaScript.
• Understanding of performance, security, and governance for high-traffic, always-on digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support evolution of the University’s website and marketing platforms, contributing to local architecture and performance improvements.
• Turn stakeholder needs into secure, high-performing user experiences with best practice guidance.
• Champion standards and drive innovation across a 24/7 digital environment.
