As a Web Developer at HBK Manchester Restaurant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the restaurant’s website, online ordering system, and POS integrations to ensure smooth digital operations that support business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance the restaurant’s website ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
Manage and optimise the online ordering platform, including integration with third-party delivery and payment services.
Oversee the Point of Sale (POS) system’s digital components and ensure seamless communication with online orders and inventory management.
Monitor website and order system analytics to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues related to the website and POS integrations promptly.
Collaborate with restaurant management to implement new features or digital marketing campaigns as needed.
Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection regulations regarding customer and transaction data.
Maintain documentation of systems, processes, and updates for continuity and compliance purposes.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience as a Web Developer or similar role managing websites and e-commerce platforms.
Proficient in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with common web platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, or custom CMS).
Knowledge of POS systems and their digital integration with online ordering and payment gateways.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a small business environment.
Familiarity with website analytics tools and performance monitoring.
Good communication skills to liaise with non-technical restaurant management.
Understanding of basic cybersecurity and data protection principles.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant experience.
Relevant certifications or training in web development or e-commerce systems is a plus.
