Job description

The Web Content Executive is responsible for managing and optimising Irwin Mitchell’s online content to ensure it aligns with the latest SEO best practices and Google recommendations. This role involves overseeing the content management system (CMS), specifically Sitecore, to maintain and enhance the website’s performance and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, edit, and publish high-quality web content that aligns with the brand’s voice and objectives
  2. Work with the wider content, marketing and brand teams to develop the website branding and tone of voice
  3. Coordinate with the marketing team to create content calendars and campaigns
  4. Ensure all content is optimised for search engines and user experience
  5. Conduct regular content audits to ensure the website adheres to Google’s best practices
  6. Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for content optimisation
  7. Oversee the daily operations of the Sitecore CMS, ensuring content is uploaded, updated, and maintained accurately and efficiently
  8. Develop content A/B testing strategies to improve engagement and conversion rates
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve any CMS-related issues and collaborate with developers to implement new features and functionalities
  10. Implement on-page SEO strategies, including meta tags, headers, and internal linking
  11. Monitor and analyse website traffic and performance using tools like Google Analytics
  12. Stay updated with the latest SEO trends and algorithm changes to ensure compliance with Google’s content guidelines
  13. Stay informed about the latest Google recommendations and updates
  14. Implement changes to the website based on Google’s guidelines to improve search rankings and visibility

About You

  • Excellent content creation and editing skills
  • Proven experience in CMS management (preferably Sitecore)
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices
  • Understanding of Google Analytics and other SEO tools
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and Google recommendations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
