Job summary

The Adecco Group is seeking a Web Application Support Engineer for a long-term contract based in London (Canary Wharf). The role focuses on ensuring the performance and availability of web applications, with duties spanning troubleshooting, deployment support, and collaboration with development teams.

You will work with React, ASP.NET, Oracle/SQL environments, and be comfortable with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#.

Web Application Support Engineer

Location: Canary Wharf, London - 3 days a week onsite expected.

Daily Rate: £416.00 Umbrella

Contract Length: Up to 2 years likely for strong candidates

Our client, a leading financial institution in the banking sector, is seeking a highly skilled Web Application Support Engineer to join their dynamic team. This long term role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and reliability of web applications within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert support for web applications, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to web applications, collaborating with development teams as needed.
• Monitor application performance and implement improvements based on user feedback and system analysis.
• Assist in the deployment of application updates, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Document technical issues and solutions to enhance knowledge sharing within the team.

Experience Needed:

• Proven React, ASP.NET experience is essential
• Oracle/SQL expertise is required
• Proven experience in web application support, ideally within the financial or corporate settings.
• Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C# and relevant frameworks.
• Familiarity with server environments and database management systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
