Job summary

Apple is recruiting a Web Accessibility SME to join the IS&T Accessibility Center for Excellence. The role requires hands-on remediation, evaluating web applications for accessibility, and advising on design and code with cross-functional teams to achieve accessible outcomes.

You will help develop accessibility training, tooling and standards while guiding accessibility practices across multiple projects globally at Apple.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of web technologies and accessible code solutions.
• Understanding of WCAG 2.x and WAI-ARIA with testing methodologies.
• Experience testing with assistive technologies (VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA).
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience delivering remediation for accessibility in web applications.
• Perform accessibility evaluations and document findings with actionable recommendations.
• Review design, code and content for accessibility with product, design and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across project lifecycles to ensure accessibility goals.
• Contribute to developing and delivering accessibility training, tooling and standards.
