Job summary

MBDA is seeking a Weapon System Engineer within the WSE team to manage equipment and sub-systems from concept through delivery and integration on platforms.

The role offers a 2-year programme starting September 2027, a salary of £31,900 plus a joining bonus, and a company bonus up to £2,500 with a pension contribution up to 14%. It supports hybrid working with on-site days and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science to a minimum 2:2.
• Experience in subsystem and equipment development is beneficial.
• Understanding of technical standards and working with cross-functional teams is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead sub-system and equipment requirements generation and management.
• Provide technical management of equipment development, production and delivery to milestones.
• Manage equipment development trials and contribute to policy and standard development.
