This is a pivotal hire for the business, as the successful candidate will be the first Wealth Planner to join the firm in the regions, while maintaining close collaboration with the established London-based team.

This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to a well-established office.

About the Role

  • As a Wealth Planner, you will work closely with Investment Managers, providing comprehensive financial planning advice to high-net-worth clients.
  • Your primary focus will be on delivering initial advice and assisting with client prospecting and retention, rather than managing an existing book of clients.
  • Pension experience is essential.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, technical proficiency, and a proactive approach are crucial.
  • The successful candidate will be a team player, comfortable working with both local and other office-based colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide initial financial planning advice to clients, focusing primarily on pensions, estate planning, investment structuring, and protection
  • Collaborate with Investment Managers to identify client needs and develop solutions
  • Assist with client prospecting and retention activities
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the office

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ideally Chartered status or near qualification
  • Proven experience providing financial planning advice, specialising in pensions
  • Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Existing professional networks in the region would be beneficial.
