Job Overview

As a Physiotherapist Functional Assessor at Maximus, you'll use your clinical expertise to evaluate how a person's disability or health condition impacts their daily life. You will handle complex cases involving chronic pain, neurological, physical, and mental health conditions. Your compassion and experience will help clients move forward with their lives.

The role includes a comprehensive training program, starting with 6 weeks of training, followed by assessment duties supported by ongoing mentorship and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments via telephone, video, or face-to-face to evaluate the impact of health conditions on daily activities.
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports to assist the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining benefit eligibility.
• Develop your clinical assessment skills with regular feedback and supervision.

Requirements

• Valid HCPC registration number.
• At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience, within or outside the NHS.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency in computer software for report writing.
