About the role

As a Nurse Functional Assessor at Maximus, you'll utilize your clinical expertise to assess how disabilities or health conditions impact daily life. You'll handle complex cases involving physical and mental health, and chronic pain, helping clients move forward.

We offer tailored training to support your success, including 6 weeks of initial training, ongoing mentorship, and support.

Duties and responsibilities

• Conduct assessments via phone, video, or face-to-face to evaluate the impact of health conditions on daily life
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
• Develop your clinical skills with regular feedback and supervision

Requirements

• Valid NMC registration number
• At least 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience, within or outside NHS
• You must have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficiency in computer software for report writing
