Your New Role

As a Creative Copywriter in WBD Sports, you will join an internal creative team in Paris and London, responsible for creating, producing, editing, and writing projects for brands like TNT Sports and Eurosport. Your work may include campaign ideation, long-form copy for specific projects, or short-form copy with quick turnarounds.

Your Role Accountabilities
  • Write creative copy (campaign taglines, promo scripts, newsletters) in English for 360° campaigns across various media and audiences.
  • Create compelling, persuasive copy tailored to each medium, including social media channels like Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Respond positively to feedback, redraft copy to meet comments while maintaining impact, and demonstrate excellent grammar and spelling under tight deadlines.
  • Write scripts for film, animation, or moving images, collaborating with designers on storyboards, and craft natural voiceover texts.
  • Supervise translations and adaptations in all languages, ensuring the original meaning and tone are preserved, and edit copy for different mediums while maintaining sentiment.
  • Interpret, follow, and define brand and tone-of-voice guidelines.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with creative teams to develop innovative ideas for global campaigns, and communicate these ideas effectively.
  • Present and defend creative concepts internally and externally.
  • Brief and guide producers, editors, and sound designers to realize creative concepts.
  • Occasional travel to Paris.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience as a copywriter in a creative agency, with background in advertising, journalism, or web editing.
  • Enthusiasm for sports and TV series, with knowledge of digital, social, and linear media trends.
  • A degree in English, Advertising, Communication, or related field preferred.
  • Creative, innovative, persuasive, with a passion for storytelling.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Team player capable of building strong cross-functional relationships.
