Compensation: GG7 – Up to £52,230.00

The role

As a Waterfront Daywork Jetty Manager, you’ll be at the heart of operations that support the Royal Navy’s most advanced vessels. You’ll coordinate, control and de-conflict all activities on the jetties, ensuring they’re carried out safely and efficiently. This is a dynamic and high-impact role where your decisions directly contribute to national defence and nuclear safety.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Managing berthing operations for nuclear-powered warships, surface vessels and other units
  • Supporting the Waterfront Operations Manager to optimise resource utilisation
  • Ensuring all tasks meet cost, time and quality standards
  • Driving improvements in systems and processes to boost safety and productivity
  • Implementing safety, quality and environmental policies across the Waterfront Team.

This is a full-time, permanent position based on-site at Clyde, working 42 hours per week. Shift patterns and on-call arrangements are part of the role, as detailed in the Waterfront Jetty Managers Agreement.

Essential experience of the Waterfront Daywork Jetty Manager:

  • Knowledge of Waterfront Facilities Systems and Equipment
  • Experience with Asset and Maintenance Management Systems
  • Understanding of Nuclear Safety and Safety Cases
  • Familiarity with Waterfront Procedures
  • Awareness of COSHH regulations.

Qualifications for the Waterfront Daywork Jetty Manager:

Essential qualifications will be discussed during the selection process. Candidates with relevant technical, engineering or maritime qualifications are encouraged to apply.
