Job summary

McElroy Resourcing Ltd. is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to own civil design packages for water and wastewater infrastructure. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, review external consultants and ensure buildable, cost-effective solutions across a range of projects.

The role requires a degree in civil engineering and 5+ years' experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit and BIM processes. Hybrid working and ongoing development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years experience in civil design engineering, ideally within water or wastewater.
• Experience coordinating consultants and managing design deliverables.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit or similar design software.
• Understanding of BIM processes, engineering standards and construction methods.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate civil design packages, including foundations, structures, earthworks and drainage.
• Manage and review external design consultants.
• Liaise with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Ensure designs meet technical standards, project requirements and buildability expectations.
• Support design reviews, risk assessments and construction delivery.
