Water / Wastewater Asset Optimisation Consultant

Overview

Jacobs has secured multiple multi-year contracts and projects with leading clients in the UK, Ireland, and globally. We are seeking skilled professionals to deliver these opportunities in the water industry and beyond. We are looking for engineers eager to grow their careers in innovative ways.

Role Description

We need experienced Wastewater Engineers with a deep understanding of wastewater systems and a passion for innovation to join our Leeds Office. The ideal candidate will possess extensive practical knowledge, a curious mindset, and a desire to challenge conventional approaches to develop groundbreaking solutions in wastewater management. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to rethink existing wastewater systems is essential.

You will assess opportunities to optimise existing infrastructure, deliver project tasks and designs, and work with stakeholders on water and wastewater infrastructure throughout various project stages. The role involves working within our multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Candidate Requirements
  • Proven track record in asset improvements within the water sector.
  • Working towards or achieved Chartered or Incorporated status with a recognised professional institution.
  • Experience in water/wastewater networks, treatment works, hydraulics, or control and automation.
  • Ability to apply latest practices to legacy systems.
  • Curiosity and innovative mindset.
  • Problem-solving enthusiasm and teamwork skills.
  • Experience supporting junior staff and engaging effectively with clients.
  • Proactive ownership of client relationships and business growth contributions.
