Water Treatment Business Development Manager

Location: Wigan, Lancashire

Salary/Benefits: £40k - £100k (OTE) + Commission, Bonus & Benefits

Our client is a leading name within the Water Treatment / Water Hygiene industry, with a strong presence in the North West. The role requires robust technical knowledge of the ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines. You will be responsible for growing a busy company portfolio and establishing new client contracts. Training can be provided for candidates with Water Hygiene / Legionella knowledge.

Experience / Qualifications
  • Successful record of growing business revenues within a Water Treatment / Water Hygiene environment
  • Excellent technical knowledge, including ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
  • Experience with process systems such as cooling towers, steam boilers and closed systems (desirable)
  • Strong sales acumen
  • Degree relating to Science / Environmental industries (beneficial)
  • Excellent interpersonal, literacy, numeracy and IT skills
The Role
  • Manage the development of company contracts and implement plans to grow and develop the business
  • Identify gaps in the business to develop new opportunities
  • Establish new client leads and pursue to win new business
  • Use a range of sales techniques to grow revenues
  • Meet with clients to establish requirements and build rapport
  • Renew existing client contracts
  • Sell services including ACOP L8 monitoring, cooling tower servicing, closed system and steam boiler analysis
  • Produce detailed tenders and present to clients
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing tailored advice and answering technical queries
  • Liaise with management to monitor sales performance
  • Travel to client sites to scope for works
