Job summary

HomeServe in the Crewe area is seeking a Water Supply Pipe Engineer to repair and maintain water supply systems in customers’ homes. You will diagnose leaks, lay and replace pipework, and manage jobs independently while delivering excellent customer service.

This field-based role offers variety, autonomy, and a structured onboarding programme at our Walsall/Head Office location, with paid overtime, pension, holiday allowance, and full tools and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working on water mains (repairs, installation, leak detection)
• Full UK Driving Licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on site
• A positive, proactive approach to your work

Join HomeServe as a Water Supply Pipe Engineer and play a vital role in keeping our customers’ homes running smoothly.

• Location: Crewe
• Salary:£33,220 - £37,810 (depending on experience) + £1,500 guaranteed bonus in your first year
• Hours:You will average 40 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays)

What you’ll be doing

As a Water Supply Pipe Engineer, you’ll work in customer’s homes carrying out repairs and maintenance on water supply systems.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Diagnosing and repairing leaks on water mains
• Laying and replacing pipework
• Excavation and reinstatement work where required
• Managing jobs independently while delivering excellent customer service
• Representing HomeServe in customers’ homes with professionalism and care

This is a field-based role where no two days are the same, giving you variety and autonomy in your work.

Training & support

We’ll set you up for success from day one with a structured onboarding programme:

• Week 1: Classroom-based induction Monday to Friday at our Walsall Head Office
• Week 2: On-job training alongside an experienced HomeServe WSP Engineer

(Where required, we will pay for your accommodation and meal allowance for your induction).
