Job summary

HomeServe UK is seeking a Water Supply Pipe Engineer to keep our customers' homes running smoothly in Exeter. You’ll work in customers’ homes, diagnose leaks, lay and replace pipework, and manage jobs with a focus on safety and service.

We offer a generous package including a salary of £33,220–£37,810, plus a £1,500 guaranteed bonus in year one, paid overtime, pension, and 33 days holiday with buy/sell options.

Qualifications

• Experience working on water mains (repairs, installation, leak detection).
• Full UK Driving Licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on site.
• A positive, proactive approach to your work.

Join HomeServe as a Water Supply Pipe Engineer and play a vital role in keeping our customers’ homes running smoothly.

• Location: Exeter
• Salary:£33,220 - £37,810 (depending on experience) + £1,500 guaranteed bonus in your first year
• Hours:You will average 40 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and bank holidays)

What you’ll be doing

As a Water Supply Pipe Engineer, you’ll work in customer’s homes carrying out repairs and maintenance on water supply systems.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Diagnosing and repairing leaks on water mains
• Laying and replacing pipework
• Excavation and reinstatement work where required
• Managing jobs independently while delivering excellent customer service
• Representing HomeServe in customers’ homes with professionalism and care

This is a field-based role where no two days are the same, giving you variety and autonomy in your work.

Training & support

We’ll set you up for success from day one with a structured onboarding programme:

• Week 1: Classroom-based induction Monday to Friday at our Walsall Head Office
• Week 2: On-the-job training alongside an experienced HomeServe WSP Engineer

(Where required, we will pay for your accommodation and meal allowance for your induction).
