Salary: Circa £47,553 (depending on experience and skills) + car allowance
Location: Lincoln, Buckinghamshire & Bedfordshire, Essex, Norfolk, Rutland & North Cambridgeshire, Suffolk
Contract: Permanent

We are looking for Project Engineers to join our Water Recycling Operations delivery teams, to ensure our capital maintenance projects are delivered successfully from inception to completion, ensuring all required standards, regulations, commercial affordability targets and time frames are met.

What you will be doing as our Project Engineer?

The Project Engineer will deliver planned and reactive project needs for Water Recycling Operations, focusing on whole life cost and business risk reduction, while ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned and reactive projects for Water Recycling Operations
  • Assess solutions, conduct root cause analysis considering whole life cost and business risks using the Risk, Opportunity, and Value process
  • Develop solutions aligned with governance, safety standards, and legal requirements
  • Ensure design, programme, cost, and CDM requirements are ready for construction handover
  • Maintain compliance with operational site Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
  • Support asset and cost data capture in corporate systems
  • Hold relevant engineering qualifications or professional memberships or equivalent experience
  • Have proven technical experience in the relevant environment
  • Knowledge of H&S and CDM regulations
  • Understanding of process safety
  • Experience managing capital budgets
  • Experience in project planning, delivery, and site supervision
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify suitable solutions
  • Good IT literacy (O365)
  • Experience with Anglian Water IT systems like M2i, SAP, Power BI
  • Experience in capital delivery within the water sector, especially with directly employed staff
  • Excellent customer management skills and stakeholder engagement
  • Effective communication skills at all levels for data interpretation and problem-solving
  • Commercial awareness with multiple stakeholders
