Job summary

Wessex Water Services is seeking a Water Recycling Operator to cover Saltford and surrounding areas. You will operate and maintain sewage treatment plants and pumping stations, run advanced wastewater and sludge processes, and ensure compliance with policy and safety standards.

The role requires resilience to weather, the ability to work unsupervised, and flexibility for evenings/weekends. A valid driving licence and GCSEs in English, maths, and a technical subject are essential.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, maths, and a technical subject.
• Happy to work outside in all conditions.
• A valid driving licence, ideally with category BE.
• Confined spaces training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards.
• Run advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants.
• Ensure compliance with company policy, processes and procedures.
• Maintain health and safety of colleagues, the public and yourself at all times.
• Work outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends.
