Water Quality Assurance Analyst
Full Time • Permanent
Salary - up to £33,123 (depending on experience)
Location - Chester le Street, Co Durham
We\'re excited to offer a new opportunity within our Water Quality team for a Water Quality Assurance Analyst. This role is central to our mission of providing clean, clear water that tastes good, and you\'ll be right at the heart of it.
You\'ll be supporting the rollout and ongoing management of our Water Supply Quality Management System (WSQMS), working closely with Water Supply Managers to ensure that standard instructions and site operating procedures are properly documented, issued, and controlled. As a key member of the team, you\'ll oversee the governance of WSQMS documents, carry out embedment checks and audits, and lead reviews of SOPs to ensure everything is up to standard.
Your work will contribute directly to the delivery of our Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) transformation project plan, and you\'ll help maintain trackers and reports to monitor progress. You\'ll also play an important role in recommending improvements to policies, processes, and procedures, helping us continuously raise the bar.
Communication will be a big part of your role, as you\'ll be responsible for sharing updates from the Water Supply Quality Review Group mailbox with Water Supply Teams. You\'ll collaborate with our technical author to refresh standard instructions and forms, and you\'ll lead workshops with site teams to embed best practices.
You\'ll support Team Managers in completing and updating their site documentation, and you\'ll take the lead on formatting, versioning, and issuing documents to ensure consistency and compliance.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who\'s organised, proactive, and passionate about water quality. If you\'re ready to make a meaningful impact and help shape the future of our water supply standards, we\'d love to hear from you.
To thrive in this role, you\'ll bring solid experience in delivering administrative tasks, along with a sound understanding of operational activities. Ideally, you\'ll also have some familiarity with water treatment legislation and a working knowledge of ISO 9001 accreditation standards.
You\'ll be confident using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint and capable of producing clear, well-structured documentation. Accuracy matters here, so we\'re looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining precise records and following through on every detail.
We\'re after someone who\'s self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. You\'ll be someone who can think practically, solve problems, and stay focused under pressure.
A passion for continuous improvement and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes will set you apart. Just as important is your ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with others to achieve shared goals.
