Our Water company client is seeking a Process Technician to join their Production Department to monitor, operate, maintain, and optimize water production assets on a permanent basis out of Havant.

Responsibilities
- Visit water treatment works, pumping stations, and reservoirs to carry out essential duties and monitor the performance and operability of assets.
- Assist with optimizing the operation of production assets to ensure water quality meets all internal standards and statutory requirements at each treatment stage, while optimizing energy, quality, and performance.
- Support colleagues in the field when complex process issues arise, investigate root causes of water quality and process issues, and advise on corrective actions.
- Operate and maintain treatment works assets, monitor, record, and interpret water samples to ensure treatment processes are effective.
- Provide training and mentorship to colleagues within Production and other areas, maintaining records of competency and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Process Science to ensure water quality standards are met.
- Create and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conduct risk assessments.
- Monitor external activities around assets that may affect water source integrity or treatment processes.
- Collect and record data on water quality and asset performance, including routine activities and work completed.
- Maintain site appearance, cleanliness, and operation standards, ensuring water quality and hygiene are upheld.
- Ensure all work complies with company procedures, health and safety, and quality standards.
Skills, experience, and qualifications
- Industry water operations qualification, e.g., CABWI Level 4 in Water Operations
- EUSR National Water Hygiene (Blue) Card/SHEA Water (can be provided if required)
- Advanced understanding of water treatment and distribution processes and relevant regulations.
- Experience with SCADA/HMI process control systems.
- Experience with chemicals and COSHH awareness.
- Experience working in Medium/High Risk Confined Spaces.
- Strong report-writing skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Analytical skills with experience in data processing, mapping, and auditing.
- Empathetic, self-aware, and able to constructively challenge and improve processes.
- Adaptable, able to prioritize workload, and respond to changing needs.
- Passionate about delivering excellent service to customers, colleagues, and the water industry.
- Full driving license for site travel.
Salary circa £38,000-£43,000 per annum
38-hour workweek, Monday to Friday
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
