Job summary

Portsmouth Water is seeking a Planning and Optimisation Team Leader to join the Production Department in Havant. You will lead and support the planning, scheduling and optimisation of production and storage activities, ensuring water treatment operations are efficient, safe and compliant.

Managing a six-person team, you will drive performance, maintain asset records, and promote continuous improvement across processes for safe operations and optimal resource use in the water treatment network.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a production or water treatment environment.
• Strong understanding of safety, risk assessments and audits.
• Experience with telemetry/SCADA systems and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance and provide direction and support to the team.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures and risk management are followed.
• Conduct regular 1-1's, absence reviews and performance discussions.
• Identify training gaps and arrange mentoring as needed.
• Optimise treatment processes balancing water quality and cost.
• Deliver programs of planned work to schedule and address slippage.
• Maintain and schedule asset maintenance; keep the database current.
• Oversee change control and quality assurance of assets.
