We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Water Pipeline Construction Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major water infrastructure projects across the London and South East region. Project values typically range from £10 million to £40 million.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage water pipeline construction projects from planning to commissioning
  • Develop project plans, budgets, risk registers, and resource schedules
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, local authorities, and internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with UK water industry regulations and health & safety standards
  • Conduct site inspections and resolve technical or logistical issues
  • Report project performance to senior management and stakeholders
  • Oversee procurement of materials, subcontractors, and equipment
  • Lead and manage project teams, promoting continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP) preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in water infrastructure or utility pipeline construction
  • Proven track record in delivering large-scale civil engineering projects in the UK
  • Experience working with UK water companies and regulatory bodies
  • Familiarity with CDM regulations and NEC 3 / 4 contracts
