Job summary

SERVPRO of Suffolk/Smithfield/Franklin is seeking Water Mitigation Technicians to join their mission of restoring properties impacted by water damage. This role involves carrying out tasks such as water extraction, demolition, and cleanup while ensuring communication with team members. Candidates will be expected to handle physical demands and preferences include certification but are not mandatory.

SERVPRO of Suffolk/Smithfield/Franklin is hiring for Water Mitigation Technicians!

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities. Set up staging area and equipment for each project.
• Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
• Perform production processes as directed. Water extraction, demolition, moisture readings, mold remediation, paperwork as required, contents removal, and cleaning.
• Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown. Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents

*This is a labor-intensive construction-related position that has a rotating on-call / response requirement.

**IICRC Certification is preferred but not required**

Compensation: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
