Job summary

Durateam-Environmental is seeking a Leak Detection Operative to join our field team in the South West region. You will use a correlator device and other equipment to locate water leaks and support our mission of reducing water loss and maintaining reliable supply.

Ideal candidates have good problem-solving and communication skills, the ability to work independently or with a team, and a valid driving licence. Full training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in leak detection or a related field is desirable but not essential.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Utilise state-of-the-art leak detection equipment to identify and locate water leaks in our network.
• Conduct surveys and inspections of water infrastructure to proactively identify potential issues.
• Record and report accurate data on leak locations, severity, and other relevant information.
• Work in accordance with health and safety guidelines to ensure personal and team well-being.
