South East Water is seeking a Leakage Technician in Lewes, UK. This full-time role involves detecting and locating leaks across the distribution network, using advanced detection methods, and working with multiple internal teams to restore water supply efficiently.

The job requires experience in leakage techniques, water operations knowledge, and qualifications such as Street Works and National Water Hygiene. A proactive communicator with customer service skills will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with leakage detection techniques and equipment.
• Knowledge of leakage network distribution water operations, valves, and flushing.
• Experience performing step tests would be advantageous.
• Street Works qualification is required.
• National Water Hygiene (Blue Card) is required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and locate hidden leaks.
• Assist customers in resolving supply pipe leaks and other plumbing issues.
• Maintain knowledge of leakage network distribution water operations, valves, flushing, and mains tracing.
• Liaise with SEW Distribution teams and contractors on leak repairs.
• Coordinate with Customer Contact Centre and other SEW teams on leakage activities.
• Support during interruptions or incidents affecting customer water supply.
• Update asset data bases and field records; input data into Nomad, GIS and corporate systems.
