Job summary

Sweco UK Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Design Engineer in our Water team to shape essential infrastructure projects for local authorities, water companies and major clients. You will work with a multidisciplinary team from concept to delivery, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

You will contribute to defining briefs, producing designs, and supporting bids, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement across project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Chartership with ICE or CIWEM is encouraged or in progress.
• Excellent communication and teamwork across all levels of the organisation.
• Experience in water and wastewater design including integration of multidisciplinary elements (e.g. MEICA).
• Experience in design, tender preparation and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Define briefs, deliverables and milestones, and manage time/cost/quality.
• Produce and check technical designs (calculations, drawings, reports) and coordinate with disciplines.
• Support bids and tenders and build strong client relationships.
