Job summary

Tilbury Douglas is seeking a Design Coordinator to join our Water team in Reading. You will coordinate design information from tender through to construction, ensuring timely, coordinated solutions across civil, mechanical and electrical interfaces.

Working with Design Managers, project teams and supply chain, you’ll drive buildability, support value engineering and ensure designs meet client requirements for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating design within civil engineering, infrastructure or water projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction, infrastructure design, Building Regulations and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Powerproject, 4Projects or Causeway.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design process from tender through to construction.
• Work with designers, project teams, subcontractors and clients to develop practical, buildable and cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Organise design meetings and manage design information to support timely delivery.
• Promote value engineering and resolve design risks across disciplines.
• Monitor design progress and coordinate interfaces between civil, mechanical and electrical.
