Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role involving planned maintenance checks in accordance with ACOP L8 & HSG.
  • Ability to pass a DBS check.
  • Current Full UK Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct monitoring inspections including temperature testing of water outlets and TMV maintenance.
  • Undertake monitoring and maintenance of building water services as part of a Legionella Control Program.
  • Use PDA and web-based electronic logbook systems for inspections.

As a Water Hygiene Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining safety in line with ACOP and HSG standards across our client’s properties. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and servicing activities across our client’s property portfolio.

  • Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday, 40 Hours

The Water Hygiene Technician will:

  • Conduct monitoring inspections including temperature testing of water outlets, TMV maintenance, inspection of cold-water storage tanks and hot water vessels, water sample collection, showerhead disinfection, and logbook auditing.
  • Undertake monitoring and maintenance of building water services as part of a Legionella Control Program in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG.
  • Use PDA and web-based electronic logbook systems for inspections.
  • Perform other water hygiene-related tasks, including maintenance and support with remediation works.
  • Work across multiple sites, requiring travel.
  • Support the business in other areas as needed.

About You

Essential Criteria

  1. Current Full UK Driver’s Licence
  2. Ability to pass a DBS check
  3. Experience in a similar role involving planned maintenance checks in accordance with ACOP L8 & HSG.
  4. Good IT literacy and confidence in using software.

Desirable Criteria:

  1. City & Guilds or similar accredited Legionella control training.
  2. Training in servicing and maintenance of thermostatic mixing valves.
  3. HSE approved training in confined spaces.
