Job summary

PTSG Water Treatment is seeking a field-based Water Treatment Technician to travel to customer sites across the Leeds area, ensuring water systems are safe and compliant. The role involves inspecting storage vessels, chlorinating tanks, and maintaining thermostatic mixing valves as well as routine monitoring of closed systems.

You will use SimPRO to manage workloads and must follow HSE guidelines (ACoP L8 and HSG274).

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence required.
• City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training, equivalent or suitable industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to ensure water systems are safe and compliant across the region.
• Inspect and clean water storage vessels, lead on tank chlorinations, and service thermostatic mixing valves.
• Monitor and sample closed water systems, flush outlets, and manage routine monitoring per HSG 274 Part 2.

What you’ll be doing:

As a key part of our team, you’ll travel to customer sites, ensuring water systems are safe and compliant across the region. Your day will involve essential tasks like inspecting and cleaning water storage vessels (including leading on tank chlorinations), installing and servicing Thermostatic Mixing Valves, and conducting routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2. This means you’ll be flushing water outlets, monitoring temperatures, descaling showerheads, flushing pressure vessels, and performing crucial sampling for closed water systems.

You’ll also expertly use our SimPRO system to manage your workload. Your ability to spot problems and proactively find solutions, combined with your detailed knowledge of HSE’s ACoP L8 and HSG274, will be vital in maintaining our professional and compliant reputation.

You’ll need a full, clean UK driving licence and have City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training, equivalent or suitable industry experience to succeed in this role.
