Job summary

PTSG Water Treatment is seeking a field-based engineer for mobile service across the London area. This permanent, full-time role involves traveling to customer sites to ensure water systems are safe, compliant, and well-maintained.

You will inspect storage vessels, install thermostatic mixing valves, monitor temperatures, and perform sampling per HSG274 Part 2. A full UK driving licence and Legionella training are required.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites across the London area to inspect and clean water storage vessels and monitor water temperatures.
• Install and service thermostatic mixing valves and perform routine sampling for closed water systems.
• Operate SimPRO to manage workload and ensure compliance with HSG 274 Part 2 and ACoP L8.
• Flush outlets, descale showerheads and maintain water systems according to safety standards.

What you’ll be doing:

As a key part of our team, you’ll travel to customer sites, ensuring water systems are safe and compliant across the region. Your day will involve essential tasks like inspecting and cleaning water storage vessels (including leading on tank chlorinations), installing and servicing Thermostatic Mixing Valves, and conducting routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2. This means you’ll be flushing water outlets, monitoring temperatures, descaling showerheads, flushing pressure vessels, and performing crucial sampling for closed water systems. You’ll also expertly use our SimPRO system to manage your workload. Your ability to spot problems and proactively find solutions, combined with your detailed knowledge of HSE’s ACoP L8 and HSG274, will be vital in maintaining our professional and compliant reputation. You’ll need a full, clean UK driving licence and have City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training, equivalent or suitable industry experience to succeed in this role.
