Job summary

PTSG Water Treatment in the Edinburgh area is seeking a field-based technician to join our growing team. You will travel to customer sites to ensure water systems are safe and compliant, perform inspections, clean storage vessels, and install valves as part of our ongoing compliance program.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to inspect and clean water storage vessels and install valves.
• Perform monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2; flush outlets and test system integrity.
• Maintain and service water systems to ensure safety and compliance across the region.
• Utilise SimPRO to manage workload and document activities.

Contract: Permanent and Full-Time, 40 hpw Monday to Friday (no evenings, no weekends, no on-call)

OTE 35-37k (including base salary + overtime)

What you'll be doing:

As a key part of our team, you'll travel to customer sites, ensuring water systems are safe and compliant across the region. Your day will involve essential tasks like inspecting and cleaning water storage vessels (including leading on tank chlorinations), installing and servicing Thermostatic Mixing Valves, and conducting routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2. This means you'll be flushing water outlets, monitoring temperatures, descaling showerheads, flushing pressure vessels, and performing crucial sampling for closed water systems.

You’ll also expertly use our SimPRO system to manage your workload. Your ability to spot problems and proactively find solutions, combined with your detailed knowledge of HSE's ACoP L8 and HSG274, will be vital in maintaining our professional and compliant reputation.

You’ll need a full, clean UK driving licence and have City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training, equivalent or suitable industry experience to succeed in this role.
