Job summary

SOCOTEC Building Control Ltd is seeking a dedicated Water Hygiene Technician to join our Environment & Safety division in Bridgend and surrounding areas. The role involves conducting water hygiene tasks, including inspections and cleanings, while being part of a supportive team.

The ideal candidate will possess a can-do attitude and hold a full UK driving licence, as travel is necessary. We offer a competitive salary and a benefits package, including 25 days of holiday and an employee recognition programme.

• Experience in some or all of the water hygiene tasks listed.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be willing to travel as part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cold water storage tank inspections.
• Perform cold water storage tank cleaning and disinfections.
• Conduct thermostatic mixing valve failsafe checks.
• Monitor water temperatures.

As our company grows and develops, we have a great opportunity for a dedicated Water Hygiene Technician to join our Environment & Safety division. We are looking for someone who is motivated, dependable and committed to work efficiently as part of a team and independently. Due to the nature of the job, traveling will be part of your day-to-day role.

Job Description

This could be your opportunity to excel as a Water Hygiene Technician and play a vital role in helping our business succeed. Below are the key responsibilities:

• Cold water storage tank inspections and recommending remedial works
• Cold water storage tank cleaning and disinfections
• Thermostatic mixing valve failsafe checks and servicing
• Water temperature monitoring

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience in some or all of the tasks listed above, or a willingness to be trained
• A “can do” attitude
• A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel

Note: Once in position, it will be a requirement of the role to obtain MOD Security Clearance.
