We are looking for a Water Hygiene Technician to join our team, delivering essential maintenance and servicing tasks that help keep our clients compliant with L8 ACOP legislation.

This is a stable role with a good variety of tasks, offering the opportunity to work on both commercial and domestic water systems of varying complexity.

Job Description

As Water Hygiene Technician, you’ll carry out planned maintenance activities, ensuring water hygiene standards are met and supporting the safe operation of systems.

You’ll play a key part in upholding compliance and service quality, contributing to ISS’s mission of delivering excellent service through empowered people.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on water systems in line with regulations
• Conduct disinfection procedures on domestic and commercial systems as required
• Perform PPM monitoring and inspections following customer CAFM system
• Follow plumbing codes, manuals, and technical diagrams for all tasks
• Provide clear, detailed reports for all maintenance activities
• Issue certification for completed small works
• Ensure all tasks comply with Governance and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW)

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

• Experience in multi-disciplinary technical environments
• NVQ/SVQ Level 2 plumbing qualification or equivalent
• Proven ability in managing microbiological risks in water systems
• Skilled in disinfecting domestic and non-domestic water systems
• Strong IT competence across key software programmes
• Certification or practical knowledge of water regulations
• Comfortable working on complex commercial and domestic systems
