Remedial Plumber

Requirements for applicants:

• Minimum Level 2 NVQ plumbing qualification or equivalent
• Experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude and technical ability
• Problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset
• Experience working unsupervised, leading a team, and overcoming challenges
• Ability to discuss technical issues confidently and record detailed reports and log books
• Physical capability for lifting, carrying, and climbing
• Full UK driving license

Duties and responsibilities:

• Plumbing tasks such as dead end/leg removal, replacing ball valves, installing insect screens, tank vents, fitting lids, lagging, TMV servicing, replacing taps, re-routing pipework, water heater replacements, softener installation, equipment installation, tank replacements
• Temperature monitoring of outlets and tanks
• Cleaning and disinfection of shower heads and outlets
• Visual water system inspections
• Water sampling and analysis
• Closed system analysis using site test kits
• Chemical dosing
• Cooling tower cleaning, disinfection, and analysis
• Water feature analysis, sampling, and compliance documentation
• Descaling and internal inspections of calorifiers and water heaters
• Cleaning and disinfection of pipework systems and cold water tanks according to standards
• Mains injection disinfection
• Softener servicing and disinfection
